We Lost?

Focus on the Family, which provides relevant Christian advice on marriage, parenting and other topics, was once a strong voice against gay marriage. Until now. Jim Daly, the president of Focus on the Family, had this to say about gay marriage:

“We’re losing on that one, especially among the 20- and 30-somethings: 65 to 70 percent of them favor same-sex marriage. I don‘t know if that’s going to change with a little more age — demographers would say probably not. We’ve probably lost that. I don’t want to be extremist here, but I think we need to start calculating where we are in the culture.”

Is this based off the recent Gallup poll? I wouldn’t be surprised. But polls aren’t always the best indicator. To use a leftist tactic… Bush anyone? Lets take a closer look, shall we?

DOMAwatch.org has this little map tool that breaks things down state to state. Nationally, this is what we see:

Do you see a losing battle? I don’t. In fact, if anything, I see just the opposite. Remember, it wasn’t that long ago the people in California, CALIFORNIA for goodness sake, voted no on gay marriage. This is why we must be vigilant America. We have to stand together. The second we waiver, is the second they win. All it takes is for conservative groups like focus on the family to stop fighting. The left won’t stop, and neither should the right. If you believe in something, don’t let it get destroyed just because you feel it’s a losing battle. Think about it from the lefts point of view. Not that long ago, the roles were switched, with the left fighting what could have been described as a losing battle. Yet, they held their ground, and here we are. Don’t lose hope America.
